- Microsoft’s SQL Server 2005 or 2008
- To estimate DB size, the following formula may be used:
[(24.7 x # Patients)/1024] + 10MB = Total Database Size (MB)
- Computed Average: 24.7 KB/Patient
- Empty Database Size: 10.0 MB
- 1MB = 1024 KB
- 10% of MDF file = size of Log File
* Web server and database server may reside on the same physical machine
** For 10 or fewer users, Microsoft offers SQL Server Express at no charge. |
